Joel Warner, Owner and President of Warner & Associates Construction, began his contracting career in 1978 building homes in the Utah County area. Joel worked as a custom framer for many residential homes and small commercial projects. In the early 1980s, Joel weathered the deep recession that hit the United States economy as a framer and concrete subcontractor for SL Home Builders who had established themselves in Evanston, WY.
In 1984, Joel Warner and Clifford Hales began doing various projects together. They realized that they had a good working relationship, so in 1986, Joel and Cliff went into business together as partners. They created Hales & Warner Construction with a focus on commercial general contracting.
History
In 2008, Joel and Cliff began talking about different possibilities for the future of the business. Through many conversations, they optimistically concluded that it was time to split up their established partnership. In mid-2009, this decision became final and Joel and Cliff left their partnership of 23 years with no hard feelings and eager to start their next chapter as business owners.
In 2010, Joel formed Warner & Associates Construction, Inc. As a company, Warner & Associates Construction will continue to focus on delivering absolute quality to the owners we work for. Projects will be delivered on time and within budget. Joel has developed lasting respect and relationships over the last 32 years in the construction industry and will continue to build trust as his number one priority. Joel’s philosophy has always been quality first, and additional projects will follow.
Over the next 23 years, 1986-2009, Hales & Warner Construction completed hundreds of commercial projects including educational, city, county, religious, recreational, and industrial projects. The majority of work came from repeat clients such as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brigham Young University, Wasatch School District, Provo School District, Alpine School District, and Salt Lake County.
